I mention kong and also add 2014's godzilla because I feel it started a trend with these recent monster movies where the monster is a good guy.

It's an aged old writing trope. I mean the Kaiju genre is basically made around the trope of one monster starts out as an enemy of humanity then a bigger foe shows up and monster #1 teams up with humans.

Did the child age? I'm a little confused over the timeline of events.

They must have cloned his daughter ages ago so that there would be time for the falling out between Hammond and this recently introduced never-heard-before Lockwood. Which would mean... she doesn't age. And that would certainly have her of all people ask questions, especially if she was being educated.

Not necessarily. They could have fallen out when he started the process to clone his daughter.

I don't remember if it said when she died.

Yeah, it's pretty much a given that if your villain is way cooler than the good guys he'll become the good guy. Godzilla, Terminator. Hell, even Freddy and Jason you find yourself rooting for more than any of the teen fodder.

I remember there being a little human in the dino, but I don't remember them mentioning dino in the human. I guess I must've zoned out for a moment.

I don't think they mentioned that at all. Not sure what he's basing that on outside of the kid playing like a kid surrounded by dinosaur statues everyday.

They mentioned that the Indoraptor was a combination of the two most dangerous lifeforms to have ever walked the Earth. Hint: Humans are the most dangerous animal.
