Look, I never played the game, but that is some dumb-ass shit

Are you saying that they didn't have the rights to the series content in the first place before they made a game about it? Or that whoever owns the rights decided to be an indian-giver?

It's an issue about the rights to Friday the 13th. The screen writer is trying to reclaim them, from what I can tell. And this game got caught in the crossfire.
