I voted none of the above since it was Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber that was far and away my favorite N64 game. It was the only game I bought since I didn't even have a N64 but my roommate at the time did. :)

Is it anyone else's favorite for that system?

Golden Sun... there's another older game I enjoyed. I'm still more partial to the first 2 Shining Forces. They were all created by the same guys, right?

I voted None of the Above because of Ogre Battle 64. I also laughed at anyone who voted Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. Those games are absolute shit now. Smash 64 is pretty bad now too, but you couldnt pay me enough to suffer through Goldeneye or PD.

That was my pick, I've played it many times but I've only beaten it once since by chapter 3 I kinda get bored and like a couple months later I start over >_<

I should probably stop starting over since I basically know the first 2 chapters like the back of my hand.

This is my signature, there are many others like it, but this one is mine.
If you take 110% of what I say seriously then you're gonna have a bad time.

I voted "none of the above" for the exact same game. I own a lot of 64 games, but Ogre Battle 64 was easily my favorite

They could have voted for them because it was their favorite at the time. Compared to shooters NOW, yeah, Goldeneye sucks, but I have a lot of good memories playing multiplayer with friends on it back in the day.

To me greatest of all time should have lasting qualities. There are plenty of games I loved playing as a kid that are complete ass now (Battletoads and the first TMNT game).

I have tons of great memories playing GE too, but when I think about the N64 library as a whole it doesnt even break the top 10.

Well, it didn't have much competition, Turok, and later Perfect Dark, but, yes, Goldeneye is a fucking mess of a game, and it runs like ass. It does NOT hold up.

It really was good compared to other console shooters at the time (Doom and Duke Nukem). Turok had better weapon variety IMO, but GE beat it in terms of presentation, single player, and multiplayer. But yeahall three are ass now and were ass compared to PC shooters at the time.
