I don't exactly keep up with the Kardashians (pun intended) so I've always been indifferent towards them. But I think it's impressive that Kim took what would usually be a 15 minutes of fame moment for most people and used it to spring board herself, and her brand to this huge pop culture status. But most importantly, she's still keeping the spotlight on herself all these years later.

Gotta give props.

Is it her, or her parents? I recall her mom saying "When I first heard about it [the tape], as a mother I was furious. But as her manager, I knew I had a job to do". That's a pretty powerful statement when all things were said and done.

But I do have respect for her for goading Trump into pardoning this one woman who was incarcerated for life for some nonviolent drug offense.

Paris Hilton is also from a recognizable, affluent family and she faded after a year or so. Between her and Kim, the latter certainly did something more effective.
