Remember how he frets about people going after his family? I just got to a part where he goes after an informant and threatens HIS family! And then when the snitch gives up the info, he talks about going after the other guy's family! Dude needs some quiet self-reflection.

Hes so monotone and boring. I couldnt beat the game just because it was so boring. I tried twice and just quit about 1/3 through it both times.

He's pretty much depicted as an asshole throughout the game, but I kind of like that they didn't try to make him likeable.

Is Watch Dogs 2 good? I think I've seen it for $20 on occasion. I like the general gist of gameplay -- like hacking bridges and stuff -- but the rest has felt like GTA Lite so far.

Well, he does cause traffic accidents to avoid being captured for crimes he committed, so he's pretty douchey.

Watch Dogs 2 does a lot of things that I wish GTA had; it's a really cool sandbox, even setting aside that I enjoy the story and missions.

I wish they didn't give you guns, though, that would have really set it apart from other games of the sort, and frankly shooting people doesn't fit the character.

Honestly I wish the first one had less shooting too. At least it somewhat fits the character, but I played through most of that game as pure stealth and it was great. Plus all those "chase down this gang and knock their leader unconscious for some reason, but you can kill all of his goons if you want" missions

I agree completely. I played WD without killing because it just felt out of character for Marcus.

He's in one mission He shows up on a camera feed and you gave help him escape remotely.

Yeah, he's boring abrasive cliche trash. I can't identify with him, and I have no interest in exploring that version of Chicago through his eyes. Uninstall Watch Dogs and play Transistor instead.

I was going to do a no-kill run, but there's so many missions where you kill dudes, plus Aiden's a douche, so he seems like the kinda dude who would just run around assassinatin' over petty crap.

I tried to do that too, and quickly discovered it was literally impossible. Somehow in their conceptualization of the game, Ubisoft didn't imagine that this would be a thing players would like to do, even though it was an often asked question from many fans, and was kind of obvious from a design perspective when one of the features was about the variety of problem solving options hacking allowed. This isn't even a design oversight. They just decided they didn't feel like it and pretended they didn't hear the question.

pretty much everything bad that happens to Aiden and his family is a result of his actions, and where a rational person might be like, "hey, maybe I should try to make some changes", Aiden instead continues to do the same shit

It's especially stupid how Chicago is revering him as "The Vigilante," when really he's robbing innocent people of their life's savings to buy guns and stuff. I wish we could play as Jordi instead -- at least he's a charismatic murderer-for-hire and doesn't have any familial weaknesses to pry at.

I love how Aiden's bottomless hypocricy comes up seconds later, as he rues the day people die protecting their secrets and how their hands are bloody. Dude, just give your shtick a rest! He didn't even shed a tear, or grimace, or anything at her death -- he just shuffled away with his hands in his pockets, lmao. No one can convince me this dude isn't a psychopath.

I spared him. Dude was literally kept in a garage for 30 missions, getting waterboarded and stuff. He seemed contrite from the get-go, haha.

EDIT: I also want to say that the only thing worse than Aiden was that remix of the Stooges' "Gimme Danger". Just put the real song in the game.

Pretty much this. The only times I felt like I had no choice were on those dumb fixer side missions, and even those would probably be possible with enough patience
