I would buy that, although it isn't entirely clear to me why that matters more in the Korean case than in the US case, except for the bit at the end which says that their courts are biased (short version of what they said I mean)

Like I said. The filing in Korea is not an accident. They wouldn't have done it if they didn't think they had a good case. They're not filling in America because they know it'll get thrown out immediately.

Apple tried it multiple times. They sued Microsoft over "expression" for the desktop OS and sued Google for the Android phone and lost horribly.

Mostly cause of the fact that they are a Korean company, and Korean lawyers are notorious for taking their side over another.

Despite what the masses of poorly informed Youtubers are trying to tell you, the lawsuit isn't about Fortnite adding a Battle Royale mode (because that has literally nothing copyright-infringing about it), it's that Epic Games owns the Unreal 4 engine and helped the PUBG development team with it while the game was in early access, then turned around and "took inspiration" from the game by dramatically changing their own before PUBG even left early access. The fact that Epic Games was working on PUBG, then potentially used concepts that they saw in development for their own game is the basis of the lawsuit.
