During an interview with Pwinsider.com, ROH Chief Operating Officer Joe Koff revealed that the planned ROH debut in Madison Square Garden in 2019 is off after the Garden had communications from the WWE. Here is what he had to say

You know, Im going to tell you Mike because you are asking. Im not going to discuss beyond this statement because I am not going to litigate this in the press. We had a deal with [Madison Square] Garden and they then told us they were backing out after communications from the WWE. We are not able to get any other dates in any kind of discussion. Im expecting that our lawyers will be contacting all the parties involved and the best we can hope is that we can find a resolution, so we can bring the kind of energy and excitement that ROH and our partner New Japan to a bigger audience and to bigger arenas and to the fans of New York City.

When asked about booking another date, headed, There is no date and the discussion is going to end here on that.

AAA had also secured several dates for The Garden for the fall of 2018. At this time, there is no word yet whether AAAs potential dates have been canceled.

Dunn definitely needs to retire (he drinks McMahon Kool-Aid like it's water) but Triple H is probably the only one who actually speaks a language that people who enjoy wrestling can understand.

I think pushing himself like nuts in the early 2000s got it out of his system or something because now he's really good about smart booking and pushing people properly.

Not gonna lie I think MSG is too costy and risky for ROH that even with the the top wrestlers from Japan would bankrupt the company.

Still pretty ****y for WWE stopping them. They don't even use MSG for Raw or PPVs anymore.

I don't think so, and here is why. Cody, who is just a worker, can rent and sell out a 10,000 arena. He had to have the funds to put that up. Of course MSG would cost more, but surly the people that pay Cody can pony up some money as well

A venue outside of Chicago is way cheaper than MSG. Plus tickets will be more expensive. WWE lost money broadcasting MSG shows a few years back that Barclay's became the NYC venue.

No, this has nothing to do with global expansion. This as everything to do with ROH booking a show, making the deal, and then getting fucked over because Vince is a piece of shit that can't let anyone have anything. It doesn't effect him at all, MSG hates him right now because they never run a show there, but now that someone else wants to, Vince has to play the exboyfriend and not share.
