Let's look at what he's promised and what he's done.

His claim to fame was sending back illegals and building a wall.

The worst illegal immigration gets is when we the economy is booming. Why is this? There are jobs. Contrary to popular belief illegal immigrants often work jobs well above minimum wage but undercutting union wages that are inflated.

A truly free market would have open borders, if not for citizenship for work visas. Because the free movement of labor is imperative.

He's promised to use the presidency to bring back failed and failing business. America has mostly outgrown manufacturing and coal.

a free market does not have government planning the economy or jobs

Tariffs, against the advice of near every economist including his people.

a free market requires free trade. Tariffs and economic sanctions hurt the economy

Space force?

in a perfect world the taxes are tiny and so is the government. Frivolous government programs at the expense of the taxpayers is anti free market

I could probably go on but especially tariffs and immigration sort of nail it. I think hes a socialist that just wants different things than liberal socialists. I hate red hats that try and use socialist as an insult while there man is just as big of one and while profitable states subsidize there farming and failed economies.

But I don't think most people right or left support open borders.

I do as far as labor is concerned and see no issue with it if the welfare state ends.

The free market will always do it better and cheaper. I think the thing is that most Republicans are socialists. "RESPECT THE MILITARY AND PUMP IT UP". That's the biggest welfare program the USA runs.

They just seem to be to be socialists that don't have a grasp on economics.

If there were open borders literally billions of people would go to America and other western countries to get jobs and improve their lives. And many of them would be more than happy to make American minimum wage, because that is much more than they make now.

The average standard of living in western countries would plummet.

Through many different means including hydro electric, nuclear and natural gas. Pg&e doesn't have any coal power plants and even if it did and it was used as part of the solution it doesn't mean government intervention should prob up failed business.

a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

So yes taking taxes from everyone to work for what is best for everyone. People can disagree what's best for everyone. The point was its clearly not the free market. Government control of the things I mentioned is definitely socialist.

FYI:

socialism is government intervening in the economy and owning key industries. Pretty much almost all countries on earth are somewhat a socialist country. Or a democratic-socialist country, to be exact. A full democracy and capitalist economy does not exist at all.

Trump implementing tariffs and closing up the borders is called protectionism. His use of tariffs to justify a selfish win-lose scenario is called mercantilism.
