Michael B Jordan took home the coveted golden popcorn award for MTV Movie Awards BEST VILLAIN in his role in Black Panther and said he didn't think he deserved it and said "I thought for sure Roseanne had that in the bag" as everyone roared in laughter over the jab

Roseanne is now hollywood blacklisted after her insane outburst against Valerie Jarrett and called her ape which is in reference to her ethnicity as a black woman..

Her revival was cancelled as she had a meltdown over the loss of the jobs she caused and insisted she is NOT racist because she had "no idea" Jarrett was black.

However her co-stars have now distanced her as ABC is ready to go with a SPIN OFF that doesn't include her as she has agreed to step away from being part of the creative process of the show and will not receive any royalties.

I liked his character's backstory, but the character itself didn't scare me in the same way that other villains (e.g. Thanos or the Joker from TDK) did.

Also, "black woman" is not an ethnicity. For starters, woman isn't an ethnicity, it's a gender. Second, black isn't an ethnicity, it's a race.

While somewhat cliche, it generally works. I guess the problem is that almost every hero has what amounts to an evil mirror version and that character is usually among their top rogues. Within the title itself, it's not going to be an issue but when you get superhero after superhero movie the trend seems a little obnoxious.

And, on a more basic level, it's usually easier to tie in a villain to a hero when they have some similarities. So in the case of tech superheroes, either the hero or villain will be using a similar version of the same tech because the tech was copied. For martial artists, you usually have a martial artist who has some connection to the hero (Batman Begins, for instance, has Bruce Wayne training with the League of Shadows). Magic heroes are obviously going to have magic villains.

My girlfriend was watching the vmas when I got home from work. I saw him winning this award. It was literally a throwaway joke
