Grrrr.

A bit over a year ago I bought this dumb laptop, and it said it was compatible with the Vive and Occulus.

Then I got it home and about 6 months later was ready to buy one finally. I did the tests and nope, it said the graphics card was not good enough. I did some research and....it said ALL laptop graphics cards available at that time where not good enough.

I should have tried to return it then, but there was not really any games out for VR that I wanted at that point, and I had already had it for 6 months.

Now it's a year later and there is a game I want. I could in theory bring my system in and try to get a manager to give me some kind of trade in (Better then the norm which is like $300 for this $1300 system). They said they would work with me.

But instead, I bought a Playstation VR setup today (The Skyrim bundle that is on sale $100 off)...making that the freaking 5th freaking time I have bought Skyrim btw. I used to by new games, but then I took a Skyrim to my knee.

Anyway ........EVENTUALLY.......beat saber will be out for the psvr....but I have to wait....I don't know how long. I hope it's out by my birthday in november at least.

I got a bunch of VR games to tide me over at least......but I really want beat saber sigh. It looks so fun.

Have not wanted to play a game so much in a long time (wouldn't shell out the money for a sytem for one game anymore at this point.....but am basically doing that now).

Great deals on games at best buy right now, I got 7 PSVR games including Doom and Farpoint for $68 after taxes.

...Why would you think a laptop could handle VR?

Because the best buy website I was looking on that sold the laptop said it did?

It had high specs in everything 12G ram, good I7 processor etc, runs all normal games just fine...just the graphics card won't work with VR....and it's really the company that is selling the products responsibility to know that. What I don't get is it's been years and they STILL have the same thing on the product description!!

Almost any laptop you buy will skimp on the graphics card. They're too big.

I'm looking forward to it too, price depending. I have a lot of VR on my backlog as well. As long as you don't get sick easily the VR is a great accessory for the PS4.

I don't know what that game is, but it's not an rpg.

I wish I could get some PS4 RPG VR games sigh. Just Skyrim which I have played to death already (and will have to play through again cause.....it's the only option).

One of those JP 'games' where you just command a girl to do stuff while you stare at her. But hey, it is free. :P

My family also grabbed a PSVR, so I might try some stuff with it. I have some games that support it.

I did see that one of the megadimensional Neptuna games is in VR...I already own it, but think I got it on sale, so it's not too bad to rebuy it. Then I would have at least 1 RPG I have not played for it yet. It's VII I think.

Grr, i know there will be a future where you just have to buy a game once, and play it on any platform....but....I'm starting to think I won't live long enough to see it!!

Blah the neptunia one just looks like the same game with a VR room added. I still have not played any of the first ones either, so i'll hold off on that.

Thinking of getting Thumper to tide me over till Beat Saber, looks kinda similar, just....no sabers.

I want the sabers.

Saw a light Staff as well....seriously cool. Not sure if we will ever get that on the playstation though as I think it was a mod.

Not spending $2000 for it though *sigh*.

- Enhanced combat with countering and an AP system.
- Drastically improved graphics.
- Other party members follow you in dungeons.
- Every character can now walk and has a walking animation.
- Sprinting where you move twice as fast. Also a stamina meter, but it's possible to get unlimited sprint.
- Hair physics.
- Inverse kinematics on the legs of the characters. So when you're standing on an uneven surface your knees and feet will bend to reflect that.
- New Tales-like loot system where most battles will give you 1-2 new weapons or armors.
- Equipment now has rarity levels. Rare(green), Super Rare(purple), and Ultra Rare(Gold).
- Equipment now has a rank. The higher the rank, the stronger the equipment will be.
- Equipment now has random stats and effects, instead of there being like 10 named weapons for each character.
- Equipment can be upgraded 10 times.
- There is an inventory cap of 1,000 and it only applies to equipment. (There are 9 DLCs that increase the cap by 1,000 and they all cost $1).
- Every single cosmetic and equipment item now have a unique 2D image for an icon, rather then Accessories for example all having the same item icon.
- The game now runs at 30 FPS but when no 3D is being rendered will run at 60 FPS.
- Moving foliage in some dungeons.
- Menu navigation sounds, and characters don't yell at you every single time you pause the game.
- Redesigned HUD.
- No DLC characters. (God eater, Nitroplus, Million Arthur, Umio, Nepgya).
- Only one save slot
- No new game plus
- Only one ending
- Outfits like the night wear, swimsuits and all outfits that were previously DLC are in the base game. The Kurome outfit should also be obtainable in the Western release this time.
- Manual allocation of stat points (You don't have to manually add each point. It gives you some automatically for leveling and then you get BP (Bonus Points) to add manually).
- After you do the hidden treasure challenges in a dungeon you unlock the rank challenge for that dungeon. It's a mode where you are tasked to kill a target monster in that dungeon.
- Rush mode for the colliseum where you do multiple battles without resting.
- The Player Room and Goddess events obviously.
- The number of Credits you have is now drawn with commas so you can actually read the amount of money you have past 999999.
- Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert have higher poly character models. This might be the case for all characters but they could have only redone the VR event characters.
- You can buy the Cyberdimension weapons as DLC. Don't know if they're OP or not.
- Level cap increase is no longer DLC. By default the max level is 999.
- Autosaves.
- You get fully healed at the end of every battle.
- You now unlock skills with Credits. Some skills cost 100,000+ Credits.
- New skill animations for some skills. Every formation skill now has a unique animation instead of some of them just being single explosions.
- You can sell items anywhere you are.
- A new 3D cutscene somewhere in the first chapter.
- A new CG when meeting Kurome.
- You no longer randomly encounter enemies on the world map.
- Bounties where you have to kill specific powerful monsters with high reward.
- A couple new OSTs like the Player Room theme and Steamax's theme.

Thanks Delta, that is alot. I probably will get it for VR when I finally get up to that episode numerically. Unless it was actually a full RPG in VR, in which case I'd just skip right to it.
