it's one thing to be aware of it but cant be bothered to be environmentally-friendly. It's another thing to deny it completely just to continue with harmful practices for selfish gains...

seriously, who falls under the latter?

Is this guy to blame?

Of the world's countries, the climate change denial industry is most powerful in the United States. From 2015 to 2017 (after having already served from 2003 to 2007), the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works was chaired by oil lobbyist and climate change denier Jim Inhofe, who had previously called climate change "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated against the American people" and claimed to have debunked the alleged hoax in February 2015 when he brought a snowball with him in the Senate chamber and tossed it across the floor.

No. The real blame lies in multiple things. First, there is a general philosophy nowadays that all beliefs deserve equal respect. While it's good to keep an open mind and explore other possibilities, outright denying facts should not be treated equally to using said facts. Second, there are is a copious amount of money put into propaganda and discrediting campaigns against climate change facts supported by groups that have an economic incentive to discourage climate change measures, such as carbon taxes. Third, while the internet has opened up the world too us, and allowed us to find any information we want, it's still a relatively new technology and many people were never taught how to apply critical thinking and research to the internet. It has been touted as the 'information superhighway' so long that people have not yet realized that not all that information is valid.
