Didn't realize people liked 2 more than 3. I thought 2 got worse reviews.

I liked Iron man 3 more than 2.
Iron man 1 is still one of the best movies in the MCU though because, well, it gave birth to the MCU itself.

3 was my favorite because it showed how competent Stark is without his gadgets.
Just like 1, he's a brilliant scientist and can make due with what he has.

Ive only watched the first one. Thought it was a great movie. I havent got around to watching the other ones because it seems that people trash on them and dont really like them from what Ive heard.

2 is better than the first imo. It's hate it gets is sooo underserved.

3 is good. It has a terrible twist at the end that kind of ruins the movie

If they hadn't pulled that fake Mandarin crap, #3 would have been GOAT but since hollywood doesn't know how to take yes for an answer, it's #1 with #2 not far behind.

Honestly, aside from the Mandarin stuff that I'm sure you've heard of by now, I think it's pretty respectful to the character and his material, overall.

Almost every single Iron Man comic/GN I'd gotten from the library always had to do moreso with the man inside the suit of armor, rather than his superhero identity. The movie's a good journey for Tony Stark and even as just a movie in it's own right, it's pretty entertaining.

I really only disagree with one narrative decision, that has nothing to do with Mandarin, made towards the end of the movie.

They "cure" him and are able to remove the reactor core from his body. To me, this is what made him "Iron Man" moreso than the suit and it takes away a considerable amount of his vulnerability as a character.

Technically Dark Knight wasn't even part of the DCCU. It was its own seperate trilogy apart from anything that followed. Man of Steel was the first movie of the DCCU

yet again, just like with Thor they felt had to "experiment". And it wasn't a case of "yes the mandarin is a good choice but is there a better choice?". Just put the real Mandarin there! and later on you can make another Iron Man movie and then do whatever weird stuff you want. :P

Then they tried to calm everyone down with that weaksauce extra scene in the prison where "the real Mandarin" was going to get revenge or whatever that never went anywhere either. They basically threw away a great villain for no good reason because they could have made the whole fake terrorist thing work a dozen different ways.
