Thats all it is in the Battle Royale part. You start with nothing when you drop in and have to scavenge for guns and supplies. The only thing buying stuff does is make your character look different, your pickaxes look different, emotes, dances etc. no difference gameplay wise But in the Save the World mode, which is like a coop story mode where you kill zombies and save survivors and stuff, you can craft ammo and guns and traps and things like that. --- R.I.P.
