it seriously or at least pretend to? The U.S. finally realizing North Korea got a legit nuclear weapon program going on? In the past North Korea make threats and everyone making fun of them saying their weapon tech is like toy weapons, etc.

NK has been trying to sit down and have talks with US presidents for years. Despite their numerous failed promises to denuclearize, Trump is the only one that was dumb enough to actually meet with them and give their farcical promise any meaning.

Trump purposely attacked and provoked Kim in order to get Kim to make a bunch of nuclear threats and increase tensions as much as possible.

Then he went to meet Kim and gave him a bunch of concessions in exchange for reducing the tensions.

This way Trump gets credit for calming down a situation that he escalated himself.

I'm not hating. It's a smart move.
