My parents NEVER watch their streaming services because they use all of it on this archaic P.O.S. blu ray player. So Im getting my dad something for Fathers Day to change that. Right now Im thinking a Chromecast. But just wanna hear from you guys first. Would you recommend Apple TV or something else over Chromecast, or is Chromecast truely the best option? Main factor is ease of use because my parents are old and pretty technologically challenged.

Fire Stick is a pretty good intersection of price and usefulness.

Chromecast still requires another device like a PC, mobile or tablet. If they're not good with either device, then a Chromecast is probably not good.

I mean my dad is decent at using his phone at least. You just open the app for the streaming service on your phone and then press the button to display it through through Chromecast, right?

Ive been using the amazon fire stick and its been amazing. Have my kids hold the mic button down and they just say what they want to watch and it pops up.

Plus you can get a bunch of extra stuff on there and can watch anything and everything.
