Specifically, heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky. I tried Laphroaig quarter cask and absolutely fell in love. This is the drink of the gods. 10/10

What's funny is that I had heard it's "not a beginner Scotch", but I've never enjoyed drinking any hard liquor straight until now. I love the smoky flavor. To me it almost tastes like a backyard barbeque smells. Sweet, spicy, and smoky.

Any suggestions on other scotches I might like based on this?

why not distill your own craft scotch? all it takes is some barley, a still and a few bags of peat from the garden center

Rum and coke. Also anyone who ever says "Not a beginner drink" should be be thrown through a plate glass window.

I like blends myself, although Ive only tried single malt once. I just do Johnnie Walker neat. Green label is really nice, havent had Blue yet but I look forward to it one day.

Yeah I was basically thinking I need to try all the Islay single malt scotches. I honestly don't see how it could get better than Laphroaig for me personally, but if it does, I'm going to be poor.

I have been doing Aberlour a bit. I like the 12 year and abanda (probably spelled it wrong). Oban is good too.
