Domestic violence typically describes a pattern of behaviour, not a single incident inspired by someone doing something incredibly violating to you.

Also she wrote about it herself many years after the fact in a book. There wasn't exactly a scandal where she was arrested.

Before making this about sexism, consider how many famous male stars have done similar and been given a pass. I'd say it's more accurate to say that the circumstances were more complicated, more fuzzy and less black and white.

You keep saying this, but what do you mean? Unless im reading it wrong, its him trying to stop her from leaving before he has given an explanation.
Ive walked out on a girl before and she tried to stop me by blocking the door. Im guessing i would have been in jail if i hit her. (it had nothing to do with nude pics or anything like that though. Both were drunk and only yelling was involved)

Try reading that excerpt as if it was the boyfriend who wrote it... would it be ok for him to give her a couple of punches, a knee to the face?

She is a professional fighter, i doubt she felt threatened, she waited for him so that she could storm out after.

Violence in general is not good, man on woman violence is often much worse, because of the strength difference, but im not sure if this is the type of thing one should be defending. From those quotes, it looked like he didnt fight back and she is a fighter... that matters.

If the exact same text was written by Rondas ex, would you defend that? If i read it as if a man did that, it looks a lot worse, to me at least
