This version will release internationally in 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows via Steam under the subtitle Definitive Edition.

I FUCKING knew it. I knew they simply had to do something for the 10 year anniversary of this game. People were bemoaning that it was probably gonna remain where it was forever, but I knew that would be too idiotic for bamco to do, no matter how much they were paid for NA exclusivety by "that" company.

I thought it was gonna be on the switch only and would have bought a switch for it, but am happy to know it's also coming to ps4, though I wouldn't mind a switch+ps4 combo like the wii+ps3.

Literally was jumping for joy just now, found out about this by sheer coincidence.

I remember it was either this year's April fools or last year's where a tales of vesperia ps4 was made on twitter by someone. For it to finally be real... hells yeah.

I know, but I'm not paying $60 for 2 added characters and some added side missions and a dungeon. The 360 looks fantastic graphically still, so it would feel like buying $60 DLC. I just can't do it.

Also I need to see what's happening with the voice casting for all the new dialogue

I can finally play this game, hell maybe even get back into the tales series which I dropped for the past 10 years. Been making topics about it for years wishing to play it.

Hope it's good like the phantasia/symphonia/abyss games and not like the team wolf games (I didn't like eternia or legendia, though I wanted to)

My only problem with so many versions is choosing which is the definitive version. My two choices would obviously be either switch or ps4, and I'm wondering if the ps4 version will be superior because I heard for this gen Sony really improved their architecture and made it friendly for developers and nearly identical to pc architecture (I'm new to the gen which I was not planning on getting into after the sour taste gen 7 left, so I'm still learning about the specs for the 2 consoles ps4 and switch)

With the switch I'd only really get it to build a library for 3rd party since I've already got the first party titles ready for purchase.

I have the 360 version, I wonder how the PC one fairs out.

Don't overdo it. It plays near identical to Abyss (with obvious changes to the battles, but the "weight" of the combat is the same, not as fluid yet as titles like Graces F or Xillia)

Characters are great. Story is average. Music is above average.

But I stress, don't overhype yourself. Its an old game.

Likewise, I never played it either and don't know much about it. But throughout the years I have read posts from people going on and on about how this is the best one with the best protagonist of the series. I just hope it's not a case of "since it was exclusive to that console and not everyone played it, let's hype the shit out of it" because that would suck. But I enjoyed bamco's little rpg that they released before this one and have faith it will be good.

Kinda sad that there will exceptions to the DLC, which I assume means no anime costumes. I really really really want the Keroro costume for Karel.

Yes it's one of the best tales games. It's not perfect but it's pretty close to it

It was the last great tales game until berseria came out a decade later

I played the heck out of the PS3 version in Japanese back in the day, will definitely be getting this one too knowing it's just the same thing but localized. It'll be totally worth it.

It's just amazing. When kh 2 final mix was announced as finally being brought to america in english, I wondered if it would open the door for so many games that were only ever in Japan, because bringing final mix was one of the biggest changes from these japanese companies that want to keep the games in Japan.

But for tales of vesperia ps3 to finally make it over... I'm definitely not regretting a ps4 now even with the crappy post gen 6 elements of the industry. Even thinking more and more about a switch. Haven't been excited about video games/a video game in like 10 years, I hope I don't get too overexcited and overhype it. Or even just regular hype it.

I actually signed one of those online petitions years and years ago. I didn't think it would actually help but I was just that desperate.

Of course that was for the ps3 version of tales of vesperia, but better late than never. At least it's finally coming out on a real console, 2 in fact.

God I can't wait for it to come out, I wonder if it will be before or after the spyro trilogy release.
