Jaw on the floor in awe of this movie. Truly scary and tense. It's a bit slow, but when it gets real, it gets real.

It's just a well put together movie. Please watch. If you appreciate good horror movies, this is one to see.

I legitimately feel uneasy, just back from seeing it myself.

I watch a lot of horror films and it takes a lot to throw me off, but this movie actually made my body freeze up in terror.

I need to rewatch it before ranking it, but it might be in my top 3 horror films of all time, possibly number 1.

My current list for reference ( quality not scare factor, although they often coincide)

oh yeah didn't you also get a Babadook book??

this movie was kinda similar in that grief essentially destroys a family but holy shit it is way more brutal. and The Babadook is already pretty intense.

Uh, well. It's scary. You have points where you are just so uneasy. Like, I felt so uneasy at points I was just like "Oh god, please let this movie end soon, I don't know how much more I can take." Which is something I never feel. Aside from that, there's a lot of non-horror scenes where I was just cringing from how uncomfortable the situation was also.

But it's a freaking masterpiece of a movie that from a movie standpoint is so well put together.

Also, a guy called ScareChan is afraid to see a scary movie? Lol

I don't like jump scares

Which is weird because everyone told me how scary it was and I didn't find it scary except for the one jump scare it had

I considered seeing it but I've had two different people now tell me the theater was pretty much giggling at the absurdity of it by the end and that sounded like a bad time

I mean....the ending is bizarre, absolutely. But it doesn't take away from the brutal ride you take to get there. Also i kind of liked how weird it got because there's really no 'good' or sensible ending that would be satisfying after what you see leading up to it.
