maybe this will help revitalize the comic industry. readership has been down for a while now. most people just watch the movies. People forget that the comics is the source pool of the stories. without them, you don't have any movies or video games. 99.99% of all super hero movies and games plots are based on something that happened in a comic book once. so they should get more respect

Anyone who regulars a comic shop most likely will not cross over to go to a gamestop, I know I wouldn't and i'm not close to the most diehard comic fans. Every once and a while I buy a trade at B&N, but that's mainly because i'm already there, not specifically looking for comics.

I wish I was into buying printed comics but with no comic store nearby and even sometimes never having the issue I want, I've just stuck to digital which also has helped with a space problem >_>

Marvel is forming a new team to guard the galaxy after Infinity Wars, and theyre Asgardian. Asgardians of the Galaxy launches in September according to the first piece of key art for the series, which will be written by Cullen Bunn (X-Men Blue, Drax) with art by Matteo Lolli (Despicable Deadpool).

Little has been revealed about the circumstances of the teams formation, though the members have been revealed:

* Angela, the not-so-beloved half-sister of Thor.
* The hotheaded Valkyrie and the human who shares her form, Annabelle Riggs.
* Skurge the Executioner, freshly returned from Hel.
* Throg, the mightiest frog of thunder.
* Kevin Masterson, the boy who took his fathers mace to become the hero Thunderstrike.
* The Destroyer, the Asgardian armor built to take down Celestials its wielder unknown.

It would suck for Gamestop to die honestly. Mainstream hobby shops are becoming rarer and rarer.

They really should restructure into a generalized hobby store though. >~>

Brick and mortar shops are dead. If you want a game you can get it for cheaper elsewhere or more conveniently digitally. Gamestop isn't like a comic book store where people go in and gamble 3.50 on some form of media they might have interest in. The only people making that gamble are parents buying shit for their kids. There's no reason for Gamestop to exist anymore.

There's only like 2 ways your games are gonna go away. Wii games are still available for download. You can have games saved on externals perpetually forever. Your disc drive scratches your game a few too many times? Donezo.

Accidentally deleting things don't happen if you're an idiot? Anyone who's going digital has an external hard drive. I have over 300 games downloaded on my Xbox right now without fear of ever losing them. I've had a PS3 completely destroy my MGS4 disc for no good reason other than playing the game. Not only that but there are other ways of backing up your games. A fucked up disc is a fucked up disc.

Also if they lose a license for a soundtrack you better hope you never played that game online cuz that shit is gone unless you delete all of your data for that game and play offline lol

No. It'll just kill GameStop.

No comic enthusiast is going to switch patronage from their flcs to GameStop. As a subscriber which basically just means I have a pull list for free I get 20% off everything at my flcs. GameStop probably won't do pull lists at all. They'll try to make you preorder comics for money up front and fucking God help us all if you're trying to reserve an alternate cover.

They're just going to stack up a rack of trades to replace some of their thinkgeek merchandise that couldn't fucking sell if it came with a blowjob.
