little fugue is bach's best imo

here's a cool visual vid with the song (apologies for the shitty midi version but this allows you to see the fugues form in a nice way if you aren't familiar with how fugues are structured)

It would sound really bad to them

You have to remember...even something like Beethoven (post Eroica) or any of the romantic composers would sound extremely dissonant to the baroque ear.
