A t-shirt for example would be a good preorder bonus. Not in-game content.

I generally like DLC but this is a wrong way to go about it.

I agree. I remember getting a Giratina figure for preordering Platinum, things like that are nice. I suppose they might be more expensive for companies, which could be the reason they do more digital items.

Free DLC that is otherwise purchasable is fine imo. Pre-order exclusive DLC is lame.

But yeah its better when its like a soundtrack CD or a collectible or something.
