yeah the dlc is the most disappointing thing to come out of the entire game
the cartoon i didn't want or care about but it's at least well made and has an audience
i was fine with the base game bringing back old zones because it transformed them into new experiences
encore mode is just recolored levels, usually poorly, and has minor object rearrangements, the kind of shit that sonic fans would normally be making fun of, but everyone on retro is hyped as shit for it

mania plus is just two "who the fuck cares" characters who already had placeholder assets in the base game

Now now, let them be. They realize that this was the only good Sonic game they've had since 1994, so they want the ride to continue as long as possible because the next good game will probably be 22 years from now.
