Should I spend $75 right now and have access to all of them right off the bat? Or should I enjoy the base game for a little while and maybe wait to see if the price may drop even further, say maybe in the Steam Summer Sale?

Definitely wait for a sale. It's not even uncommon for Crusader Kings, so you might not have to wait that long.

One thing I didn't mention is that the $75 that I mentioned above is with deals that I found on g2a.com, and some of those are DIRT cheap (i.e. The Old Gods for $1.17). Idk if the expansions ever go on sale for that cheap, tbh.

Ah well. The Steam Summer Sale is in like 2 weeks. I can at least wait that long to see what kind of deals there are.

I guess the question I should be asking is, do the expansions ever go on sale for less than 50% off? If not, ill go ahead and buy some of them that I found for like 66% off and definitely The Old Gods for $1.17. Then Ill probably buy the rest in the Steam Summer Sale, assuming they go $50% off.

Don't use G2A. They are one of the shadiest markets for PC gaming, and there are illegal keys on there all over.

If you like the game just get the dlc whenever you want. like 5 years ago it used to go 75% off, but i havent seen anything from paradox go more than 66% in a very long time and usually its only 50%.

They do go on sale quite often though

Yeah, the base game. Honestly I think they should consider making it free forever. Not that its bad, far from it, but it would be interesting to see if they would make more money by drawing people in

I looked up the expansions on steamprices.com and saw that the lowest price any of them had recently was 50% off. So I went ahead and bought all the deals that were better than that from g2a.com, and I'll wait until the Steam Sale for the rest.

Oh and do yourself a favor and turn off Sunset Invasion, apparently it's awful lol.

This topic convinced me to give it another try.

Damn. I just read reviews for it, and I can understand why. Reminds me of the Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLCs in Skyrim where OP enemies come attack you while your character is still at a low level. These DLCs were meant for someone who had been playing the game for a while, and I feel like they didn't take new saves into consideration.

Its one of the ones Ill be buying today, actually. Good thing Im paying less than $2 for it.

Sunset Invasion is hilarious and I've never gotten the hate for it.

As far as CK2 expansions go, I don't really see a point in starting without them, personally. In any case, I would consider The Old Gods, Way of Life, Sons of Abraham and The Reaper's Due indispensable.
Then come Horse Lords, Conclave, and Monks&Mystics.
Finally, Charlemagne and Jade Dragon are fairly worthy. The rest mostly just makes other things playable(Sword of Islam and The Republic), is Byzantophile bait with a broadly useful mechanic attached for some reason(Legacy of Rome) or feels undercooked(Rajas of India).

The portrait packs are usually good, and music packs are good if you like the game's music, but they're just art. Even if you want it, never buy it unless it's heavily discounted.
