I think tablets and computers still need headphone jacks because they're work tools, but phones without headphone jacks are totally fine, even if the developers have half-assed reasons why. Removable batteries were for a time when battery life was so shit that people needed multiple batteries. I had multiple batteries with my Galaxy S3 and it was not as convenient as people think. Fast and wireless charging make those batteries even less justifiable.
