The Deer Hunter is one of my favorite movies of the 70's Kramer vs Kramer somehow beat out Apocalypse Now, and I'm very happy it did. I watched Brokeback Mountain this year and I think it was the better film. Kramer v. Kramer is good but flawed in how unsympathetic it is towards Mrs. Kramer. Every stereotype that movie established has been carried on by all Hollywood movies with barely any interruption to the present day.
