Every day there is a thread on the PS4 board about some game featuring a gay character or woman or black character and it turns into a 500 post thread with some really repugnant views expressed, views I genuinely have never heard expressed seriously on any other online forum.

I know there are some twitter posts equally as bad but twitter has like a billion users. This place has about 100,000 at most.

Nah it really isn't.

Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter, many parts of 4chan, youtube videos.

On the PS4 board there was a thread I was involved in in which there was a group of around 10-12 users who consistently agreed on the position that gay people should "go away and shut up" and that "gay is not normal". One or two trolls you can imagine but a consistent block of users is something rare.

I think it's the lack of moderation or quality control on this site. When "SJWs" aren't the hot topic, that place is still filled with trolling and shit posting. 100 topics of "[popular game] is terrible, how can anyone like it?!?!"

This lets people feel like they can basically post unfiltered with little consequences.

The conservatrolls here think that being a bigot is cool. They don't know what conservatism actually entails so instead of being conservatives they just became anti liberals. So they do what they know will piss liberals off, and nothing pisses liberals off more than a disadvantaged group of people being discriminated against.

YouTube has the most reactionary base of any mainstream website besides Yahoo News I guess. I mean have you read the comments on any YouTube video in the past three years? It's really fucking bad.

I wasn't necessarily judging the comments because the comments are offensive to pretty much any living breathing creature on most youtube videos.

I was more reflecting on the actual uploaded videos themselves.
