My female friends on FB who watch the show mentioned it. Is it staged? I'm not hating. If a black guy wins the salt would be interesting. But seems like a SJW type thing.

Generally most reality TV is staged to a degree. It kind of has to be in order to keep things interesting to viewers. People just acting casually without cues to engage each other would get boring to watch fast...
If Big Brother wasn't staged at all, it would just be a bunch of people sitting in rooms watching TV or staring at their phones the whole program. In this case of The Bachelorette, there might not be an agenda at heavily at work by the producers; the woman might just prefer black guys when the option is available.
