Went with a corsair k70 rgb with cherry mx speed to replace my worn $20 membrane keyboard. This better be worth it.

if you wanted the true clickiness of a mechanical keyboard, shoulda went with something that had Cherry Blues in them instead of reds.

But I do game on the non RGB version of the K70 and it's fantastic imo.

Also pun not intended, but I'm happy with the outcome.

I was worried blues would be too loud. My wife would get annoyed. Reading reviews, even the one I got might sound a bit loud and I might need o-rings. We'll see.

I used to not like the super old original mechanicals from school. They were a bit too large and difficult to press down, so these speed variant switches seem like a good balance. I still kind of like membrane and chicklet keyboards for what that is worth (like my asus zenbook laptop).

It's more for gaming anyway. I don't really spend a lot of time typing and I don't program.
