Too bad I never got to shit on New Vegas when he was around, I was new to the whole F3 vs NV thing and at that time, i ignored NV's GLARING flaws, because I legitimately think he could've made me say "we will have to agree to disagree".

But now, we are left with the below acceptable level of fanbase, that know less about NV than I do. Trully disappointing.

NV definitely has its flaws, but it's amazing compared to the train wreck that was FO3. And even FO3 had several good points to it compared to, say, FO4.

Fallout 3 is a mess of a game with terrible gameplay mechanics and terrible writing that actually damaged the overall world of the series. You could only possibly care about if you have an insanel penchant for Bethesda's giant lifeless worlds full of cabinets to loot tubes of glue and tape out of, or if you have a survivalist fetish

New Vegas is a mess of a game with terrible gameplay mechanics, and interesting writing that did its best to present a world that is centuries past nuclear war and doing its best to rebuild (while still not reaching the levels of the original game.) It's dragged down by its trash engine and the sheer oversized nature of it.

Neither are good, but 3 reeks of Bethesda garbage far more strongly.

I have not watched that whole video, Hell no. Its 2 hours long and I made it about 25 minutes or so in before accepting he had nothing interesting to say and moved on. Most of what I saw is comparing things to new Vegas in a way that doesnt really do anything to bolster the claim of fallout 3 being good, and often cases applies to both.

Fallout 3 fans are so weirdly insecure about New Vegas. I guess its scary when a game rolls around thats written by someone competent even if it scarcely improves anything else

3 is a lot better than it gets credit for. It does some things better than New Vegas, but New Vegas also does different things better than 3. They're both great games, no need to fight over which one is better.

I never pretended to be the reasonable member of the F3 fanbase, otherwise i would ignore NV and how much of a failure it was, both critically and to its users.

Tell me when Obsidian drops another major founder, for them to come around and shit on them. Or how their own employees think they are full of themselves. Or maybe remind me when a company established in 2003 can get out of the gutter and stops begging in crowdfunding sites in 2018, like they are some up and coming developer.

Not to everyone will throw money at them, and their games will be a critical success.
