Maul deserves more than a weird tacked on cameo. Now that he's back in the movie universe, he should be in the Boba Fett movie. Boba can be tasked with taking down the Crimson Dawn or whatever, and that's why Maul turns into a weirdo recluse on Dathomir when Obi finally kills him.

I feel like they're def setting up Maul to be in other films, it makes sense that they would include him in a Maul/Kenobi film somehow (I know the Rebels show deals with Kenobi and him, but still)

If they're going to retcon Fett's on-screen death, they can make him as powerful as they damn well please.

If you can survive being dropped into a sarlac pit, you can do anything. Maybe he could learn the ways of the Force.

Or, better yet, Star Wars can drop the hokey notion that only a Force user can defeat a Force user.

Maybe Elsa from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade grabbed a vine as she was falling into her pit. Perhaps she'll return in Indiana Jones 5.

It makes as much sense as saying that Boba survived his fall.

Boba Fett was cool because he was the mysterious bounty hunter with the cool armor and jet pack. Giving him a backstory (and a dumb one. Thanks, George) and making more movies with him makes him less cool. Then again, I guess that horse left the barn a long time ago.

Non-force users can kill force users, but people like Maul are well-above your average force-users. Like the main Jedi in Star Wars are typically the elite of the order.

I'm thinking this would take place in the 3-5 years after Solo, but before Maul dies. Maul is still a crime boss leader, but significantly weaker in the force. Boba can be hired by a rival gang or something to take them out.

It'd bring two fan favorites together, and gross more than Batman v Superman.

I'm thinking this would take place in the 3-5 years after Solo, but before Maul dies. Maul is still a crime boss leader, but significantly weaker in the force. Boba can be hired by a rival gang or something to take them out.

It'd bring two fan favorites together, and gross more than Batman v Superman.

idk if they should touch that. They went to the trouble of making Rebels canon, redoing that story arc would just be confusing. Plus I thought it was pretty good the first time around, especially how Obi won.

but yeah he'll show up in either the Fett or Obi movies. No reason to shoehorn him into Solo if not to set him up for something.

It's because he has a cool costume. But since they've confirmed he's getting a movie a good way to make him out to be an actual badass is to infiltrate Maul's crime org and tear it apart from the inside
