I've owned one for a few months now. I love it and the games have been largely awesome but there are some definite concerns.

1) nothing exciting happened in like a year on the console unless you count ports of old games
2) I'm fast running out of actually great titles because of the above
3) online platform is ripe to be great but currently sucks ass.
4) some hardware issues. Screen feels a bit on the cheap side and framerate issues abound in the bigger games, which is a major concern this early on. Let's hope they get better at optimising.

But don't let the above discourage. Overall I freakin' love it.

I bought one, played the living hell out of it, and resold it for barely a loss half of a year later. There weren't many games coming out in the mean time that I wanted to play and I was a bit tight on finances. I miss having it around to play a few games of Splatoon 2 here and there, but the period of my life that I owned my Switch was a really hectic one. I'd say right around now would be a good time to buy one since there are more games than Zelda/Splatoon2/Mario now :)

I have one, only put serious time in Mario and Zelda. My PS4 gets so much more screen time its ridiculous

Inevitable? Soon? I dont wanna burst your bubble but that is not happening homie. Maybe look into buying one used. But yes. I have one and really like it. I also did not own a Wiiu so all of the ports are new to me. Really looking forward to the new Mario tennis coming soon.
