T2. All movies on this list are good, but gimme some Commando & Running Man as well.

Every year, me and a group of friends celebrate Arnold Day. We convene at 9am, watch an agreed upon itinerary of 7-8 Arnold movies, and get shitfaced in the process. This summer shall be AD6.

My biggest problem with 2 other than its sappiness is that there is a lot of time in 2 devoted to fleshing out this "Terminator world" and it doesn't really work. They were clearly franchise-building, and every movie since 2 showed why this was a dumb idea. You can't really use time travel too much without it becoming stupid.

This sounds wrong to me, as Terminator 2 was supposed to be the last Terminator movie (That was it, they actually avoided the Judegment Day). And yeah, too much of time travel does become stupid atfer a certain point.

Im split between both of these movies. Like the first is really good on its own, but the second a really good sequel to the first.

Out of the ones I've seen, Road Warrior > Terminator >> Escape from New York > Die Hard. I should probably rewatch Die Hard and T1 though.

All the Mad Max movies are great fun, even Beyond Thunderdome.

I think of the original Terminator as a raw film made by an unproven filmmaker. Terminator 2 is when little-known James Cameron becomes famous Hollywood director James Cameron. I didn't hate it, but it was manipulative and mainstreamed to hell. He retconned the Terminator to be cuddly and marketable.
