Beef Jerky: I mean, wtf?? Every single bag of it lists 6g+ per serving (which is like two pieces). Unacceptable.

Sports drinks: hello, people. We dont want LESS sugar in our sports drinks, we want NO sugar in them. Finally Powerade caught on. Drinking a regular Powerade or Gatorade is practically like drinking a coke.

Salad dressing: I dont eat salad, but I always roll my eyes when somebody brags about making a healthier choice and then dumps 20g of sugar on it. Ill take my burger, thanks.

Granola: another healthy choice gone wrong. Compare the sugar content of the average granola bar to a chocolate bar. If you have a granola bar, you may as well just have half of a candy bar.

Cereal: obviously many of these are loaded with sugar, but youd be surprised how much is in healthier choices. Plain Cheerios is the only cereal I know of with <1g of sugar.

Wake up. Carbs and calories are GOOD if you actually do work or exercise. People who avoid carbs are always tired, depressed, and they dont lose weight. Sugar is the NUMBER ONE reason people are so fat. Its not carbohydrates, its not calories, and trans fats play a secondary role to sugar.

It is literally everywhere and I wish more people would stop eating it. If it has more than 2g of sugar, then its got too much. Ive lost like 30 pounds since I quit eating and drinking sugar.

Yeah sugar is rampant. Wasnt there a scientific paper put out that pretty much explained sugar was the primary cause of rising obesity and not fat? But it was swept under the rug.

By the people who are selling sugar. Humans tend to like sweet things, adding sugar makes most people want to eat it more. Which I tend to hate, as I prefer savory over sweet.

I just think that people have been conditioned for so long (I remember this since I was a child) to think that calories and carbohydrates are the boogieman of food.

Heres another problem that I see: companies refuse to display sugar content. I had to go online to research the sugar content of some jerky because it refused to list it. 12g/stick. Go to sonic and look at their ice cream menu. It will list the carbs, but sugar content is nowhere to be seen. Go figure. I actually saw some jelly beans the other day that advertised fat free!

Oh! I can eat these and be thin!

I don't care for jerky.

I rarely drink sports drinks or soda.

Salad dressing... my favorites definitely the most sugary ones. Vinaigrette ones are my favorite. Balsamic is a little sweet so I'm sure it has sugar in it, but not all brands are sweet. Newman's Own is my favorite brand. Kinds like Caesar or Greek are good too. Even just good ol' basic oil and vinegar.

Granola is overrated.

I don't eat breakfast. I believe I had cereal once in the past year and it was for dessert. I was at my folks' place and I was all "shit I haven't had cereal in ages. I kinda want some."

It's funny, both psychologists and dietitians confirm that if you cut that shit out of your diet, you eventually stop craving it, and then when you do eat it again most foods containing it are sickeningly sweet to the pallet. And yet here we are, consuming way more of it than anyone ever should, and it being put it every food product imaginable indiscriminately, because although it's not as easily visible as tobacco or weed, it's just as addictive.

A single serving of milk usually has about 12 grams of sugar which is complete crap since you can't even taste it.

I also wish they would sell fruit juices without any of the added sugar. Is that so much to ask for?
