Current Events > Can someone give me a basic outline for what my Baldurs Gate 1 party should be?

I don't really want you to name any characters, as I want to recruit the ones I like along the way. But a good outline for what KIND of characters my other party members should be would be helpful. Brief or elaborate explanations as to why each should be in my party would be appreciated.

My main character is a Dwarf Fighter/Cleric

Strength: 18/00
Dexterity: 17
Constitution: 19
Intelligence: 11
Wisdom: 18
Charisma: 1

Proficiencies are
Warhammer +
Morningstar/Flail +
Two-weapon style ++

A mage with sleep/web can let you cruise through the start, as can then pelt the enemies from ranged. The best mage is evil though, and doesn't mesh well with a good party but are options otherwise. mages also provide great CC and buffs (and are useful in fighting other mages)

A rogue is a basic must, to deal with traps/locks but you can survive with some planning I guess.

A cleric or druid is nice for the healing they can provide.

Some melee sort of class is a basic must, to at least keep enemies from hitting your squishy mages/rogues
