I disagree with TC but I also think there's something very wrong with the way people absorb themselves into this high pressure environment of needing to appear perfect all the time on social media.

Like if you spend that much time seeking validation and approval of people who you've never met, to such a degree that it negatively affects your actual real life interactions...something is off.

perhaps, but youre also assuming that people who like having really nice social media profiles are doing it for approval. some people just see it as a fun life project. some use it to keep themselves motivated to get shit done. some just enjoy the fun of it.
