Even if you want it to be repealed you are basically either stupid or a lunatic if you actually believe that it will happen in the next 20 years if you have ever spent an hour researching this topic in your life.

Does anyone on this board actually see a time in the future before they are an old man where the 2nd amendment will be altered? 3/4 of the states? Really? Do you think you could get 1/4 of the states to agree to it at this point?

Gun owners are the single greatest cause of these situations. In every situation, the perpetrator is either a gun owner themself or has got the gun from a gun owner.

Gun owners refuse to responsibly store their firearms because they are intrinsically irresponsible. They are the same considered, diplomatic type that thinks they are under threat or risk being under threat and the only way to reason with a threat is by shooting at it.

The 2nd amendment doesn't need to be repealed, the idiots that own guns need to be. There needs to be a full audit on AT LEAST ever legal firearm in the country, a surprise check up with the penalty for improper storage being a lifetime ownership ban and if anyone under 18 could gain access to the firearm, imprisonment.

Next step, making it illegal to sell a firearm to anyone with a criminal record, history of mental illness, or any other quality that would disqualify them as a psychotic asshole (like wearing a fucking MAGA hat and camo shorts).

Republicans should be afraid of having their guns taken away, because the youth of today is going to be in office before the cold touch of death has to rip the guns from their hands.

Would you be willing to literally be one of the first guys to die in what would effectively be a civil war to make the world the way you think it should be?

Because that is what it would take. You know the polls I'm assuming. You are part of the absurdly small % of men of military age in the US that would currently support this policy of repealing the 2nd amendment. If you aren't willing to actually step into the line of fire what makes you think it could be done? Or are you hoping that at some point in the future robots could do the job?
