25% of Americans spend almost ALL DAY INDOORS a new survey revealed!!

Researchers are warning of the "indoor generation" is being born where they spend inside 90% of the time, or 23 hours a day inside

It's not just old people or disabled who stay indoors but men, women and children who travel to and from school or work only going outside during commute

But spending time inside could have health effects both physical and mental that impacts sleeping patterns, alertness levels and even mood changes!!.

Dr Russell Foster said "We've gone form 90% of people working outside to less than 20%. In a very short space of time, we've gone from being an outdoor species to spending most of our time in dim"

YouGov did a survey of 16,000 interviews with people in 14 countries and asked how long they spend indoors. 82% said they spend less than 21 hours indoors each day and 62% spend less than 18 hours inside.

In reality, 75% of Americans spend less than 21 hours inside with 55% spending less than 18 hours inside

One area of concern for this is that air indoors tends to be more polluted than outdoors, especially in urban cities. This comes from scent of cleaning products, plastics, cooking and burning candles as it irritates the eyes, nose, throat, lungs and can induce coughs

Daylight and sunshine is good for the body as people get better sleep from exposed sunlight

Outdoors for sure. Got my hat and my sunscreen, ret2go

Speaking of sunscreen, did you know that like 70% of them are totally useless and a higher SPF is not always a good thing?

I like indoors because what the fuck am I going to be doing outside? Gardening?!! Pfft lol.

I do go jogging outside though, but thats pretty much it. Outside sucks if youre not doing a sport of some kind.

Also why try to get high outside when I can get high inside?

I thought I used to hate the sun. Then the sun started actually doing tangible damage to me. Now I reaaaally hate the sun. :P

I'm outside for maybe 10 minutes a day, and I work third shift so it's always at night.
Couldn't even tell you the last time I was out in the sun.
