I smoke a few packs per week, and didn't really pay attention to the costs but...

this past weekend I was in VA and the cigarettes were pretty cheap.
Just bought Parliaments here and they are almost 8 dollars per pack. 8 dollars. That's more than American Spirits used to cost in California.

I don't even know if it's worth it any more.

bruh don't even start. You actually feel anything from it for maybe the first week, and then after that it's just kind of like a "cool" thing for a couple of years and then after that it's just an annoying hassle. I don't even know if i enjoy it any more.

I quit by switching to those blu rechargables

I'd quit but I think it would be more expensive. My temper would flare up and i'd probably catch a lot of assault charges.

the idea is that people will quit due to the price, saving the government money on healthcare, or the government gets mad tax dollars.

either way, everybody except smokers win

taxes for cigarettes are going up another 12.5% on september 1 2018, 2019 and 2020, so in a few years they'll basically be too expensive for everyone

I've been smoking for about 12 years now and I'm still at half a pack a day, unless I'm drinking and/or smoking herb. I registered to vote for the cali $2 cig tax. It's cali and I knew it would pass, but I still had to try.

yeah they're not the best, the main draw is the formfactor for me, closest thing to the real thing that's now the real thing
