That's what I've always liked, but either way I'm getting it from a shelter. If they don't have one I'll go for whatever I like most, but is really like to have one like that one.

I think the cat you linked to is a domestic short hair. They're very common and you should have no problem finding one. I have a nine year old, all black domestic short hair. She is very sweet and very chill.

The best thing to do is to go to a shelter, tell the people there what you want, and see what they suggest. You should consider age, if they have any special needs, personality, and how they get along with dogs, kids, and other cats if you have any of those in your house.

Do you want short or long hair? Normal face or squished face? Tail or stub? Color?

Yeah that's just a domestic short hair. 95% of cats in a shelter will be that. There may be an odd medium/long hair and rare chance of an exotic breed but yeah you should pick the animal based on the personality.

Siamese are pretty chatty.
Other than that they're all really the same outside of deciding between long or short hair. any Most of the time it will turn out to be a real jerk that wants to tear your heart out over any minor infraction like not putting out the right food, not leaving a certain door open, picking it up, etc. 1 in 10 may end up being a nice loving lap cat. Any shelter cat is good. Or free kitten anyone is giving away.

In my experience girl cats seem to be the nicest. But they do not get along with other girl cats in the house. My mom's cat is so nice and cute it's insane. Fat little short hair 5 year old tuxedo girl. She greets me at the door when I go over and makes little mews. She'll sit in your lap and fall asleep as soon as there's a lap available. She licks your hand and when you move her she makes these little fatty grunts because you disturbed her. She is like the most perfect cat I've ever known.
My current cat is a real ass but I love her.
