Notable Accolades:

The only one-on-one loss Link EVER had in a Character Battle. Of course outside of 4-way hi-jinks.
The only time Cloud had ever defeated Link in a match. Ever.
Cloud only won this match, due to Zelda hate being at all-time high with the release of Wind Waker in 2003.

Mario/Cloud was great. It was the second nailbiter we've had and it was the first example of an outside rally. But Link/Cloud was better because it shattered people's 100% confidence in the supposedly unstoppable champ.
