Is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 accessible to someone who didn't play the others?

Splatoon 2 seems enticing but I already have stuff like TF2 if I want the shooter itch. What Makes Sploon2 especially worth it

Does ARMS have lasting appeal or does it get old kind of quick

Splatoon 2 is a very different style of shooter.

The goal is to paint the ground. So every shot you make benefits your team. You can swim in your own color but the opponents color damages you and slows you down. Rounds are only 3 minutes so it's a very snappy game in general.

ARMS depends on how much you enjoy the gameplay. There's a basic arcade mode (and that's about it for single player) but there's a bunch of unique arms to unlock as you play. There's a demo on the eShop now.

DKC:TF if you didn't play it for Wii U. It's a modern day masterpiece.

Octopath comes out in a few months and I'm hype for it.

ARMS doesn't have much value if you're wanting to play a lot of it. Honestly I feel this way about most fighting games.

Mario Kingdom is a fun game. Great strategy game with a lot of fun to it!

Bayonetta is a game that was made by the creator of Devil May cry. Has a lot of fanservice to it and is really fun. I used to hate on it because it wasn't my Dante but I never actually played it and when I did, I took back my words.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is fun if you like DKC games and can be pretty hard.

If you like Dynasty Warriors and Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem Warriors is decent, i enjoy it.

You don't need to know anything about Xenoblade Chronicles to play 2. Its unrelated.

Kirby Star Allies is short but fun and kinda easy.

Azure Striker Gunvolt is pretty fun if you like Megaman X style platforming and pretty decent story. I'm actually in the middle of playing this while I wait for Megaman X collection to come out.

3 minutes sounds kind of crazy short for me, I prefer the slow constant kind of thing (last cap on Thundermountain in TF2 goes like 30 minutes sometimes, delicious).

It honestly depends on how much you enjoy the gameplay itself. If you think the actual mechanics of playing it are fun (which a lot of people, myself included do) then it's a great game to just come back to for a little bit every now and then, especially since they run their own little versions of Splatfests once a month where you play online for one of two teams.
That all said, if you don't particularly find the fighting to be fun, it's not really worth it since it's not a really deep game.

If you like puzzle games, Puyo Puyo Tetris is a must-have.

If you didn't play it on Wii U, DKC Tropical Freeze is legit a GOAT tier platformer.

If you ever liked a Kirby game, you'll love Kirby Star Allies.

The thing with Splatoon is that you sometimes have matches when you are completely dominated. So it's a short mercy. It does a great job of keeping you addicted (one more game!) instead of rage quitting for the night.

yeah, its pretty short matches but they can be worthwhile. I enjoy getting gear for the toon and when I see people with Asian style names on the other team, I know we lost >_>

Stardew Valley is like harvest moon. It's a farming sim that is stress free and relaxing.

Getting a shit ton of money in the game is sometimes way more of a better feeling than getting a headshot in Battlefield tbh.

I dunno man, its difficulty is on par for any game in the series. If you choose to play with 4 players the entire time, I guess it's easy, but I didn't. Plus, aside from maybe Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Kirby has never been known for having long games either.

Either way, I say basically any Kirby fan will like it because it's a celebratory/anniversary game, so there's a shit ton of fanservice in it, ESPECIALLY a lot of nods to Super Star, which is probably the one game most people associate the series with.
