Probably the most degenerate form of "entertainment" filled to the brim with antiquated misogynistic values, attempted reinforcement of traditional gender roles along with encouragement of the objectification of women, promoting sexualization of minors and pedophilia, created by an exploitative industry that overworks its employees to literal death. It lacks any worthwhile social or political commentary and is therefore worthless as "art" and encourages trash people to stay trash.

Same thing can be said of JRPGs really. Vapid mush. It's a little forgivable if you're 14 but even then you should be able to think critically and weed out the trash and find fulfilling entertainment and works of art that truly means something.

If you live in the State of Utah, it's effectively run through and through by a religious organization (The Latter Day Saints) that has numerous times sponsored sexual assault and rape and destroyed the lives of those who attempted to expose it. They sometimes marry their daughters at 14 years old and in some rare cases engage in polygamous marriages where Women are relegated to the role of baby factory for a single man in the name of expanding their religion.

The vast majority of the movies and TV you've watched your entire life are produced in part by people who either are, or became affiliated with Scientology. This straight up brainwashing cult put together by a Sci-Fi author abuses emotionally vulneralble people to coerce them away from seeking medical assistance with their mental and emotional problems, and block you from receiving any kind of assistance not arbitrarily approved by their higher ups whose only goal is to protect their pyramid scam.

But as we should all understand by now, isolating yourself from these issues doesn't make you a better person. You're still the same person you were before. It just makes the problem worse because no one's paying attention to it and ignoring it. It won't go away if you do that.
