Hell, I 100% that game years ago. All tracks, vehicles and vehicle parts, all pilots endings, all of it. It was hard, but worth it.

There are so many things wrong in that post that even without the crybaby attitude and mad ranting it's hilarious.

If Chapter 7 was that painful to him, I wonder what his reaction would have been to Chapter 1. Or 5. Or 8. Or 9.

This is, of course, taking for granted that he was blowing up while playing Very Hard. If this rage was actually due to playing the default difficulty then that fact would be the giant cherry on top of everything.

Save Jody is 5, and probably the most aggravating story mission on VH when 7 is excluded. (not for me though, would play and beat 7 hundreds of times than beat 5 even once, personally)

You're talking about 3.

3 is a 'gateway' level of sorts in Story Mode where the difficulty jumps up a ton. It's an indication given by the game that you're not supposed to go through the mode before you get a lot more skilled at it, so it's back to Novice/Standard GPs for you.

Through lots of testing I've come to the conclusion that, interestingly, 3 changes only minimally between difficulties; ergo it's the same no matter what difficulty you choose. Which explains why it's one of the more punishing ones at Normal, fairly average at Hard, and one of the easiest at Very Hard.

Just because I wasn't able to watch the video in the OP when I first clicked this topic, I came back and watched it just to see what the guy's complaints were about.

TL: DW version for any potential others like me:

1) It's too floaty!

2) Jumps are too weird! The original SNES game had it better!

3) The controls are terrible! Broken!

4) Cosmo Terminal: Trident is a horrible track! It's boring and uninspired, then the big jump midway is a death trap boohoo

5) Boosting is bad in this one, unlike X! It literally doesn't do anything so I don't boost at all!

6) Keep in mind, I know what I'm talking about I beat everything in F-Zero X

7) Sand Ocean: Lateral Shift is so hard because you can't steer!

8) (Minutes-long incoherent babbling that the controls are so bad he randomly dies when he shouldn't have, veers off the side to fall down and bounces off the walls all the time)

9) Only hardcore GX maniacs would love this game, this is worse than the original and X by a long shot. GX isn't even a real racing game!

10) Random praise about X where you can just pick it up and play it, it's creative, has variety, better track design, has better controls, but everything about GX is bull**** broken in comparison y'know? Just not fun and a bad game!

11) This is all Nintendo's fault for developing the game with Sega. Everyone knows that Sega was, is and always will be garbage. Sega ****ing sucks, no wonder GX ****ing sucks.

That was even more entertaining than what I imagined it to be. He even throws in random praise for Donkey Kong Country Returns that it's really difficult but not broken in regards to controls. Apparently the motion control mess in that game is way, way better than anything GX has. Same for the insane rubberband/favoritised AI in F-Zero X.
