Smh, depends on the person. Not everybody wants to live in some Applebees/Jesus cultish suburban strip mall because they get to boast about owning a gun.

If the worst thing you have to worry about is Applebees and annoying bible thumpers, then you are in a really good spot.

It could be muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch worse, and it is.

Yeah. Like China where Air Pollution causes smog on the regular, and freedom? Good luck with that. The internet and media is insanely censored, anti government thoughts are rarely tolerated and they literally are starting a social credit system to deny privledges and rights for bad behavior including things such as buying too many videos games

Or a large amount of middle eastern/African countries where many of them suffering from several or all of these are Hot, Poor, War Torn, infectious Disease ridden, Run by crazy dictatorships, Run by crazy religious extremists etc.

The UK becoming a police state and has the whole brexit mess. Mxico is practically having a civil war with how bad the cartel situation is. North Korea is...yeah. North Korea sucks to live in unless you are sucking Jim Jungs Dick in the capital. And even than you make one simple mistake and you could be executed by fucking artillery. Venezuela is a mess. The economy is fucked, everyone is poor, hungry and sick and protesting the government has a good chance of you getting shot or beaten.

Russia has a shitload of issues too.

And so on.

US had a lot of problems but its definitely solidly in the top half of places to live. Probably more like top fourth. We have it on average very good compared to most of humanity.

If you find somewhere that is better for you that is good. But most the planet is a shithole if the US as a whole is one that is for sure.

And yeah a lot of the places that are actually potentially a good place to move arent just gonna let you in no questions asked.

Its gonna be a pain in the ass for sure.

Hmm. I can't speak for the whole of EU, but Scandinavia and the Netherlands aren't tricky at all to move to, as long as you have a job. I'm guessing that it'll be the same in a lot of other countries - there's just no good reason to deny an immigrant who will contribute to the economy and welfare. Sure, if you wanna move here and don't have a job or a legitimate reason to be granted asylum, it could get trickier. So get a skill and find a job and it'll go fine :)

Youre gonna be surprised how messed up these "perfect" countries are.

Usually they have insane tax laws, or are incredibly socially inept, racist, etc.

My ancestral homeland (on one side) was given to Poland, so if I went there now I'd probably get beaten up

Why not Canada?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_rankings_of_Canada

Vancouver is also in the top 3 most livable cities in the world.

It's also the most expensive place to live in the country.

I live in Greater Vancouver. It is expensive, but seems to be worth the cost.

Would like to go somewhere like Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, or Monaco. Could also do the Nordic countries as well. Just wish I could get out of this corrupt, backwards shithole of a country.

All those places have just as much corruption and problems as America.

Well, according to Transparency International, the US is the world's 16th least corrupt country.
Iceland is 13th.
Luxemburg is tied with Canada at 8th.
Singapore and Sweden share the 6th place.
Switzerland, Finland, and Norway are 3rd.
Denmark is 2nd.
New Zealand is the world's least corrupt country.

People who say this have likely never spent much time abroad. There are other countries with objectively higher standards of living.
