Another Ys game down in my quest to finish all my Y games. Having already played Dawn of Ys and Mask of the Sun before playing this game I can say for certain this is the definitive version of Ys 4. It combines elements from both games while also introducing new things of its own and further refining the party based battle system introduced in Ys Seven. This is a much longer game than those two games combined too, I think an average playthrough would probably take between 30-40 hours (I ended around 52 hours for the platinum time).

This platinum is another 100% playthrough across 2 playthroughs which is conveniently tracked in your in-game journal as there's counters for everything. The highlights include:

- Complete the story
- Complete the story on Nightmare difficulty
- Play extensively (5 hours) of each of the 6 playable characters. (Adol > Karna > Calilica > Frieda > Duren > Ozma imho)
- 1000 aerial combos
- 50 Flash Guards

- Befriended all town animals
- 100% sidequests

Compared to my last Ys platinum (Origin) this was way easier on the difficulty scale even if there was more to do overall. I'm excited that I'm finally clear to play Ys VIII, especially now that the translation issues have been patch. Still a bit before I can do that though as there are many other Y games to play on my list.

Gonna take a short break with the new God of War though before I go fully into Yakuza 4 next.
