That stupid I have a misunderstanding with my friend that will make things awkward for the next 22 minutes and things will be Normal if we JUST TALK, but we cant until the end!

I understand if it happens once, maybe 3 times over the course of a show, but there therere shows like New Girl (which I like) but has this subplot all the damn time. Like every other episode, at least. Do the writers no care? Or do they not realize that theyre just doing the same thing over, and over, and over again?

And as soon as I posted this, I reached the episode where the characters panic over getting their child into a prestigious preschool.

WHY IS THIS A THING WITH SITCOMS?! Do rich people consider this a problem?

Theres a reason I gave up on sitcoms in my teens. It happened when I realized that they had written out one of the children on Family Matters. Poof, like she never existed.

The whole comedy derives from characters being in relatable situations. You can't have a sitcom without a situation.

That moment when you just realized that 'sitcom' is short for 'situational comedy'.

Even IRL simple misunderstandings don't get cleared up that easily, so I can kinda understand the trope. It's also a very easy source of conflict.

Kind of like Frasier can't not mess up a relationship, making the entire up-to-you ending pretty easy to conclude.

Basically this. Too much drama in the world when solutions are often very simple.

Hahaha, no.

But leftists definately did it on purpose and have been found being quoted on in before the great google takeover on youtube.

Youtube circa 2012 was an entirely different animal... it was where feminism went to die. Now its where they promote it.

Dont get me started on the split of atheist community.

Leftists like using religious reasons as an excuse to handwave critics of our current attitudes towards transexuals and they couldnt do that to atheistic scientists so they had to inject identity politics into it and now its a nazi stance somehow?

Idk but atheism+ is cancer.
