i like this game a lot, army building and tactical strategy where your deployed force is not your total force; taking and holding strategic points lets you deploy more troops to the field

battlefield control is super useful so you're not just trying to shoot the enemy with the biggest gun. area control and creation of damage zones tends to trump direct damage, but some enemies resist so you have to tailor a strategy to what's out there...and not everything can be had

also unlike xcom et al new recruits are not brought in at level 1, but rather avg squad level -1. so the risk of troops dying is not the same as xcom, which i LOVE.

I've been tempted to get it but I haven't pulled the trigger. I've got other games to play right now anyways (Battletech).
