Long story short, I went to 2nd grade with this girl. Hadnt seen her in almost 25 years, so we started talking the other night. She didn't remember me, but we talked for about 2 hours. Very nice girl. It was great to get closure on the whole thing. She was such a big part of my childhood, really good friend and always had wondered what had happened to her.

Glad I found out what happened, and that she is okay, but she sent me a friend request and I accepted. And now it just feels awkward because I've noticed that I really care about her still. I don't think I will message her any more because we are both married and I don't want to cause problems for either of us, but man, she has been on my mind a lot. In a way it was good to talk to her, but in a way it feels like a mistake. I guess that's life though [sigh]
