FF8 > TotA > FF7 > FF6 > FF4 > FF3DS > ToP > FF1 > ToS > FF2 > SO2 I hate the puzzles, the mazes, all that kind of crap, and several Tales dungeons are way way WAY longer than they need to be. And I love Motoi Sakuraba and Shinji Hosoe, but the library of work Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu, and Hitoshi Sakimoto have put out is just too stronk and there's so much of it. Also Tales was always super anime. FF didn't really get there until FFX, with FF9 being their anime saving throw. Of course now, everything is 100% anime filth (with the exception of FF12), and I guess there's a place for that. I just wish there was a bit more design diversity. You know, I don't hear enough talk about Grandia, specifically Grandia 2.
